A symbol of enlightenment, sublimity and compassion , Gaya is the administrative headquarter of Magadh Division of Bihar. It was in the year 2010, that the honourable Principal of A. M. College (B.Ed. Unit) Dr. (Prof.) Arjun Prasad Singh conceptualized setting up of the first ever B. Ed. unit in a constituent college of Magadh University. It was an uphill task considering several challenges and financial constraints , however the sheer determination and unparalleled spirit of the A. M. College (B.Ed. Unit) family helped in turning the concept into reality.
The foundation stone of the new state of the art building with essential modern amenities was laid down by His Excellency Shri Nikhil Kumar, Governor of Nagaland who also gave his kind consent for formally inaugurating the building as the Governor of Kerala. The College building is named after the founder of Magadh University and former Chief Minister of united Bihar Late Satyendra Narayan Singh. Dr. (Prof.) Lakshmi Narayan Singh was appointed the Director of the A. M. College (B.Ed. Unit), assisted by an eminent team of faculty and dedicated staff.
